Groton Area Elementary School Daily Announcements 10-1-09
May I have your attention please for the daily announcements.
Good morning. Today is Thursday, October 1st, 2009. This is the 27th day of school.
We have a 2008-2009 Groton Area School yearbook that is looking for a good home. If you would like to take it home and make it yours, please bring 40 dollars to the office to make it your own.
Students: Please wash your hands frequently and cover your mouth when you cough and sneeze so we can hopefully prevent the spread of any sicknesses that may be going around.
We have a lot of students leaving the building at the end of the day who are running and we are going to have someone get hurt. Please walk, and stay on the sidewalk.
Picture retakes will be October 2. If you missed picture day, had a funny background color, or didn’t look pretty enough, you can get your picture retaken Friday, October 2.
If you have not received your Culvers book mark, the one needed to earn free food for reading, see Mrs Feser..
Student Council is sponsoring Homework Month in October. Two names will be drawn each day. If your name is drawn, and your homework is done for that day, you win a prize. The first prize winners will be announced tomorrow, stay tuned. See Mrs. Rock in the afternoon to get your prize if you have all of your homework done and are a winner.

We had a number of outside guests at our school yesterday. They had a lot of nice things to say about our school. Mr. Dalchow would like to say nice job to our students and staff. It is awesome to hear from people outside of school about how impressed they are with Groton Area Elementary. It never gets tiring.
Here is the lunch menu for today: Taco salad, tater tots, fruit, and milk
Breakfast for tomorrow: Waffle, ham patty, juice or milk
Please stand, face the flag, put your hand over your heart and recite the pledge of allegiance with me: 1***2***3***4***5
