Groton Area Elementary School Daily Announcements for 10-27-09
May I have your attention please for the daily announcements. This is James Thompson.
Good morning. Today is Tuesday, October 27th, 2009.
October is homework month. Each day, names will be drawn, and if their homework is done they win a prize. The winners for Monday, October 26th are: .Nicole Marzahn, Cody Sippel, and Jasmine Schinkel
Staff: There are order forms for Holiday Wreaths in the lounge for anyone interested.
There is a Webster 3-3 Basketball tourney for boys and girls ages 3-8 on Nov. 7th. More information is available in the front lobby. Deadline to register is October 31st.
Staff: The grading window is open. Please have all grades posted by noon on Wednesday. As soon as all of your grades are posted, please e-mail/QC Melinda to let her know so she can run a grades report for you.
The Box Tops for Education’s first collection is coming up. Have you been collecting boxtops? Last year we were 4th in our area behind Northwestern, CC Lee, and Warner Elementary Schools. Warner beat us by only 30 boxtops. Please have all boxtops in by October 30. The class with the most boxtops will get to choose the morning announcement music for a whole week!
There will be a Lifelight Concert with 3 bands next Wed., Nov. 4th at 7 PM at the Groton Area High School. The concert will include Disciple, Project 86, and Children 18:3 and an Artist, Eric Timm who will do live art and speak. Tickets are $6 in advance, $10 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at Dairy Queen.
The Ellison Die Cut catalog is now in the teacher’s lounge. Please put down your suggestions for any wanted Die Cuts.
Students, please wash your hands frequently, cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze and avoid touching your mouth, nose, or eyes. We want you all to stay healthy!
Staff: Conference scheduling tomorrow after school. Please bring your preference sheets with you. If you cannot make it, please arrange for someone to do it for you.
