Groton Area Elementary School Daily Announcements for 3-23-2010
May I have your attention please for the daily announcements. This is Brenna Johnson.
Good morning. Today is Tuesday, March 23, 2010.
The music today is in honor of this scientist’s birthday. He was featured in the movie October Skies and was one of the world’s foremost early leaders in rockets and space exploration. Can you guess who it is? The answer is on the bottom of the announcements that can be seen on the Tiger Talk Blog.
Students, thank you to those that bought suckers last week. We raised $235.00 to help out 2 families dealing with the huge costs of fighting cancer.
Students, please wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your mouth, nose, and eyes. As we have a number of students and staff out with illnesses, this will help you avoid coming in contact with the germs and pathogens that are causing some of us to become sick.
Recess will be confined to the blacktop due to wet conditions until further notice.
The Peeps Contest is here! Please check the bulletin board by the front display case for rules regarding the contest. We already have a number of entries displayed in the library. When you turn in your display, please sign up in the library. Last day to turn in your Peeps display is March 30th.
The 4th grade will be selling frybread this coming Friday.
Here is the lunch menu for today: pancake on a stick, links, oranges, cinnamon roll, and milk
Breakfast for tomorrow is: cereal, toast, juice, and milk
