Groton Area Elementary School Daily Announcements for 3-30-2010
May I have your attention please for the daily announcements. This is Jackson Oliver
Good morning. Today is Tuesday, March 30, 2010.
It is Stanley Burrell’s birthday today. He is 47 years old today. Based on the song played at the beginning of the announcements, “Can’t Touch This,” can you guess what his stage name is? The answer is on the bottom of the announcements that can be seen on the Tiger Talk Blog.
All footballs, soccer balls, and playground balls need to be brought in after each recess. Please pick them up and bring them in. Do not let them lay outside. Please pick up after yourselves.
Students, please walk when leaving school so no one trips, gets knocked down, or gets hurt. Thank you.
Recess will be confined to the blacktop due to wet conditions until further notice.
The Peeps Contest is here! Please check the bulletin board by the front display case for rules regarding the contest. We already have a number of entries displayed in the library. Please do not touch them. When you turn in your display, please put your name on the registration sheet. Last day to turn in your Peeps display is March 30th.
There will be CCD tomorrow and living stations of the cross at 7:30.
The student council will be sponsoring an Easter egg hunt this Thursday. Eggs will be hidden in plain sight around the school, if you find one turn it in to the office for a prize. ONE EGG PER PERSON.
Here is the lunch menu for today: turkey dinner, mashed potatoes, corn, tea bun, pumpkin dessert, and milk
Breakfast for tomorrow is: breakfast bagel, juice, and milk
Please stand, face the flag, put your hand over your heart and recite the pledge of allegiance with me: 1***2***3***4***5
I Pledge Allegiance to the flag
of the United States of America
and to the Republic
for which it stands,
one Nation under God,
indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.
Thank you and have a great day!
