Groton Area Elementary School Daily Announcements
May I have your attention please for the daily announcements. This is Emily Thompson.
Today is the 5th and last day that sixth grade will be providing music for the morning announcements for collecting the most boxtops.
Good morning, today is Friday, March 4th , 2011
Harry Helmsley would have had a birthday today. He was a New York Billionaire who built a building in New York that in 1930, was the tallest building in the world. Do you know what the building is called? The answer is on the bottom of the announcements that can be seen on the Tiger Talk Blog.
Did you know that Mrs. Zoellner’s 2nd grade class earned over 100 points for the month of February? How many points did you earn last month. We only have two more months to reach your goal. Check out the AR t-shirts in the cabinet that just came in. There are some people who are real close to making their super reader goal as well. Super readers receive $10 dollars to purchase books with the May book order. Keep reading and you may be a Super Reader too.
There will be a Wolves Baseball Camp on Sunday, March 13 at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen for 5th and 6th graders. More information and registration sheets can be found in the front entryway.
Students are to stay off the high hills on the playground, as well as the snowbanks in front of the school.
Information on two different 3-on-3 basketball tournaments in Britton can be found in the front entryway. Tournaments will be held on March 26th and on April 9th.
We still need volunteers to help out at the Elementary PAC’s Boys Basketball Tournament this coming Saturday. If you can help, or know of someone that is interested, please have them contact the office.

for which it stands,
one Nation under God,
indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.
Thank you and have a good day.
