Groton Area Elementary School Daily Announcements
May I have your attention please for the daily announcements. This is Portia Kettering
Good morning, today is Wednesday, February 22, 2012.
Robert Wadlow would have had a birthday today. He is the tallest human being ever to live. When he was 10 years old he was 6 foot 5 inches tall and wore size 17 shoes. At his death, he was 8 feet 11 inches tall and wore a size 37 shoe. If the height of an average doorway is 80 inches high, how much taller was Robert Wadlow? The answer is on the bottom of the announcements that can be seen on the Tiger Talk Blog.
Boxtops are due by Feb. 24th. The grade that turns in the most boxtops will get to pick the morning announcement music for a week. Start gathering those boxtops. We need 750 boxtops to meet our goal for the year. Remember to put your boxtops into bags of 50.
Congratulations to the Math Problem of Week winners, Landon Kokales and Gabriel Taylor. Way to go!
