On Friday, March 5, HSE will be hosting its annual Grandparents and Granola breakfast. Students are encouraged to invite grandparents to share a breakfast with them, courtesy of the Hanover Street PTO. Students and grandparents may arrive this day at 7:45am and report to the gym for breakfast. Food and either juice or milk will be provided, but if you prefer coffee, you are welcome to bring your own. We hope to see you there!

On March 4th starting at 6pm, Clearview Elem will be the site for our Arts Night. Student art work from all three elementary buildings will be on display. There will also be musical performances from band, orchestra, and chorus students. This is a wonderful night to be enjoyed by all parents and elementary students of Hanover
To all parents of children planning to start kindergarten next year at HSE, we are now making appointment times for Mar 12th. On this day, you and your child would come to HSE to complete necessary registration paperwork and participate in academic and speech screenings. It is also an opportunity for you and your child to see the school, meet some of our teachers and ask any questions you may have about the exciting start of kindergarten. We are very pleased to announce that on-line video demonstrations of popular Everyday Math games or now accessible at our Hanover Public School District web page. Please use the following link to view the videos. http://www.hpsd.k12.pa.us/?q=node/855230 This year, all kindergarten classes have begun using the EM program, as well as some teachers at various grade levels piloting the program this year. For the 2010-2011 school year, all math classes K-5 will use the EM program. Hanover Street will be hosting an Everyday Math Games night on Mar 31 for you and your child to come to school and play some of these educational games along with teachers. Have you spent some time playing a musical instrument? Do you no longer have a need for that instrument? Are you looking to donate a used instrument to benefit school-aged children learning how to be the next musical star?
