The official construction bids for the HSE and Washington Elementary renovation projects has been awarded today! We will now begin to work with the general contractor to develop detailed plans and timelines for the project. We are starting to make preliminary plans for a ground-breaking ceremony to occur sometime in the afternoon of October 14th, here at HSE. This project has been a long time coming, and it is very exciting to see us start up this process. More details yet to come!
In a joint effort with the NFL to promote physical fitness, Hanover Street Elementary hosted its first ever Touchdown Tuesday! Hanover Street staff, PTO, and students all pitched in to create a fun-filled day at HSE, including an aerial picture of the entire school from atop a firetruck ladder, courtesy of the Hanover Fire Department. Students participated in a wide array of football-themed activities that focused on physical activity and good sportsmanship. Students were able to show their team spirit by wearing their favorite NFL jersey or sports t-shirt. They also could cast their vote for their favorite team. The Evening Sun was even on hand to take in the action. A great thanks to all of those who participated and helped make Touchdown Tuesday a great success!
In collaboration with the NFL's Play 60! and NFL Rush programs, HSE will be celebrating Tuesday, September 14th by having all staff and students sport their favorite team's jersey. This could be your favorite NFL team's jersey, but could also be a shirt promoting other sports or even our very own HPSD sports gear. Join in on the fun, and we'll look forward to seeing everyone celebrating health and fitness by wearing their favorite jersey on the 14th!
