Fire Prevention

Earlier this month, HSE had the honor of welcoming some local heroes from the Hanover Borough Fire Department, to share with our students important tips on how to prevent fires, but also how to react in the unfortunate event of a household fire.  These fire fighters went above and beyond, utilizing humor and some theatrical skills, to perform an entertaining and informative skit on fire safety.  The fire department was also kind enough to bring some of their fire engines to the school, allowing our students to see them up-close and in person.  Additionally, our first grade classes took a walking-field trip to the fire station to better understand how firefighters spend their time at the firehouse and how they go about fighting fires throughout Hanover.  Thank you to the Hanover Fire Department for their dedication and commitment to helping keep our students safe!
