Recently, HSE concluded its annual canned food drive. We set our goal to bring in 1,500 food items to donate to God's Meal Barrel, located right here in Hanover. Our small school of approximately 250 students far exceeded this goal by bringing in close to 3,000 food items! As an extra incentive, I, Mr. Hershner agreed to spend a night on the roof at HSE for meeting our goal. Also, since Mrs. Speck's class brought in the most food items, they have earned the school "spirit stick". Thanks go to all of our students, staff, parents, and PTO, but special recognition goes to two students, in particular. Caleb Murray and Devin Boyd combined to bring in close to 1,000 items, by soliciting donations from family, friends, and neighbors! Again, kudos to Devin and Caleb, as well as all of us at HSE, for their efforts in helping our community!
