Elementary Holiday Concert

On Tuesday, December 13th, please join us at Hanover High School to enjoy musical performances by our very talented elementary students from Hanover Street, Clearview, and Washington.  This is a great evening and a wonderful way to usher in the Holiday Season!  The show starts at 7:00 PM.

Stone Soup

Today at Hanover Street Elem, our students were treated to a big ole' bowl of Stone Soup, courtesy of master storyteller, Beth Rebert!  Some of you may remember Miss Beth from last year's performance, The Magic Fish.  The classic children's storybook, Stone Soup, was brought to life through a dramatic theatrical piece, and our students loved it!  We also used this as an "activating strategy" to kick off our annual PTO canned food drive, which runs next week.  Using this story as an example, students learned how a group of individuals can team together, for the good of the entire community.  Thanks again to Beth and our PTO for a wonderful experience!

P.S. Our goal for the canned food drive is 2, 000 items.  If we meet this goal, there will be a special performance coming!  Stay tuned!

Parent Visitations

Every year HSE welcomes parents into our school to share some of the "classroom experience" with their child.  This year we are planning to do this during the week of December 5-9.  This is a little later than we have done it in the past.  The general schedule will be as follows....

Gr.4 - Monday, Dec 5

Gr. 3 - Tuesday, Dec 6

Gr. 2 - Wednesday, Dec 7

Gr.1 - Thursday, Dec 8

Kdg - Friday, Dec 9

The visits will be scheduled for a specific 1 hour block during the day.  Please look for a paper coming home soon with more specific details.  Since this is normal class time, we must insist that no younger siblings are brought to school during the visit, so that there will not be disruptions to the class.  Also, due to limited seating, we cannot offer a lunch invitation for this visit.  Thank you for your attention and understanding to these matters, and we'll look forward to seeing you!

Hanover Street Elementary Dedication Ceremony!

This Sunday, November 13, from 3:00-4:30PM, Hanover Street Elementary will be opening its doors up to the public to share in a celebration of our beautiful, brand new building!  Through the help of so many of our dedicated staff and parents, our building is finally complete and we want to share the celebration with you.  We will be inviting guest speakers, retired HSE staff, and current students and families to join in on the celebration.  You will also have an opportunity to get a guided tour of the building, courtesy of our students!  This should be a wonderful day for Hanover Street Elem and Hanover Public School District!
