This week's broadcast. Highlights this week are interviews of students after having a school Turkey Dinner, do you remember those? They're still the same excellent meal they were 20 years ago. Only at the end of my Turkey Dinner meals the cooks had also handed out little plastic cups of vanilla ice cream we ate to nicely complement the meal. I also wouldn't eat stuffing back then either, come to think of it there were alot of things that I wouldn't eat. The Army, and being a poor college student turned poor college graduate trying to teach high school English, largely fixed that...and now I'll eat nearly anything. Nearly anything...I still can't eat tuna. Way back in Kindergarten, I refused to eat tuna casserole. My teacher, the wonderful Mrs. Sieh, insisted I at least try it. Eventually, with the thought of the recess playground invading my decision-making, well at least my absence from it because of the looming challenge might have been encouraging me to comply, I did take a bite. And my stomach promptly rejected the tuna, to Mrs. Sieh's dismay. I tried to eat tuna again in my 20s, but I've given up on it. So, the interviews are just a sneak peek, and I will have many more to share in time for the Thanksgiving holiday next week for those of you dropping into Scotland or my blog. This week you might notice the added title of "Lite" to our internet broadcast. I had to remove many more Oral Interp performances that are currently broadcasting in Scotland, due to their size. I could put them on individually I suppose, but a few of the performers were surprised to hear they made it to the "big time" and all of their family and friends would now be able to see their performances. Why would we want to share their performances with an audience that never gets to see them, but only read about them after they've finished? I'm pretty random today. Have a great week!
