I see my posts have been scarce. We've been busy as always, and I'm currently knee-deep in data for our in-service with teachers. Education has really become data-driven, we can look at large amounts of students and make informed decisions for their educational programming. I won't get too far into it, but it can be nice to be able to see trends when you have so many. It kind of takes out the old "throwing a dart" method at the wall and hoping you hit your target. Personally, I've also been working in an Advanced Statistics course through the University of South Dakota. I never would have thought that I would say that I'm enjoying a statistics class, but I am. I've had a nice opportunity to meet others in education who are also taking a deeper look at "the numbers." Homecoming went swimmingly this year and the students really had a nice opportunity to show their school pride in a positive fashion. October means the cold is on its way and that our fall sports will be coming to an end. Enjoy them while they're still at it. It's time for me to download Book 5 of the Song of Fire and Ice series. I'm not sure I want others out there getting ahead of me. But, I don't plan to devour it in two weeks like I did the others. The books are long, and twist and travel all over an imaginary world. It may be years before there's another installment. So I'm going to take my time with it this go around. Parent Teacher Conferences are October 10th. See you there....
