Last Friday our 5th grade students had the wonderful opportunity to learn from a professional actor.
Mr. King, the father of one of our 5th grade students, shared his re-enactment of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech given from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.
Mr. King closed his presentation by talking to the students about the preparation that goes into the acting process and answered questions from the students about various movies and television shows that have given him the opportunity to appear on the big screen.
This was a wonderful learning experience for our students, and a great chance for a parent volunteer to contribute to the educational process at school! We are thankful for Mr. King and for the message he shared.
