Yours is a good summary of the situation here in Oregon. Obviously, the changes this year have made life interesting for an administrator in the state.

These changes, combined with the cut score changes determined in the fall, make it highly unlikely that a given school's results, be they flattering or not, will be taken seriously. This is an interesting phenomena, with positive and negative implications. Will Oregon's reputation be tarnished? Deservedly so? Will educators in Oregon see testing in a new light, for what it is, rather than for what it is often held up to be? What "is" "what it is"?
