I look forward to reading your future posts on this topic. You made a great point--the parents of our students live in a much different reality than most of us. How are we going to prepare our kids for the work force skills they need? Regardless of their future occupation, ALL people need to learn how to problem solve, think critically and work with others. This is where we need to point the educational compass.

Not only do most of them live in a differently reality but most of them do not get to see the societal shifts as we do. Many of them are not aware of the impact technology is having on society or the need to shift what is happening in schools. In fact, many of them want to see a system similar to what they experienced because it makes them comfortable.
