I am suffering from Blog Clog this month in that I can't concentrate on contributing anything worthwhile to the LeaderTalk blog for my assigned time. When I Wikipedia-ed Blog Clog, I was presented with the following message: Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact title. I started thinking that maybe this was closely aligned to Writer's block so I Wikipedia-ed that phrase...
"Writer's block can be closely related to depression and anxiety, two mood disorders that reflect environmentally caused or spontaneous changes in the brain's frontal lobe. This is in contrast to hypergraphia, more closely linked to mania, in which the changes occur primarily in the temporal lobe."
So, now there's more anxiety added to the fact that I can't think of anything to write because I have to worry whether it's better to have a problem with my brain's frontal lobe than my temporal lobe! And even more stressful is the fact that if I don't contribute something, Scott McLeod will send me an email warning me that if I don't post, I'm going to relinquish my much valued position as a contributor to LeaderTalk!
Maybe this is caused by the environmental conditions that have changed for me over the past month, going from a brief vacation in Palm Desert, California where the temperature was 85-90 degrees and sunny each day to returning to Michigan where the temperature is 28 degrees, grey skies, and snowy/icy. That's it! What a relief that this is definitely environmental and not related to any brain dysfunction. Happy Holidays to all and I promise to be more productive next month!
Marion,
You made me smile, and that was just what I needed after this very long day. Thanks!
Dave
