I really enjoy hearing these types of celebrations. The question that comes to my mind is: Why don't I see more of the diversity in a high school setting? and What can I do to change it? I have seen a lot of programs and systems in place to ensure that classrooms and clubs are diverse in the elementary and some in middle school, like Mix it Up Lunches and Challenge Day programs. But what happens when students transition to High School? Do they just suddenly separate themselves into subcultures of similarities? Anyone have a solution?
