Sounds like the English Dinosaur needs to go away. I don't know where I've heard it but the line goes like this, "if you don't like change you'll like being irrelevant less". At the Daniel Pink keynote yesterday at the annual NCEA conference the quote came out, "We are educating children for their future not our past." It would be interesting to see what that English teacher would believe about this comment.

New Leader

This is really an interesting concept that we've been trying to work into the new school. Other schools in our area do blog work very successfully, and are moving towards wikis for collaborative group projects. We just had a hip hop contest that required students to spit lyrics on camcorder and turn the track into a digital file to upload. This is where the rest of the working world is moving, so why aren't schools at least following?
